Augmented Reality startup Oshien eyes Kickstarter, then $750K Seed

AR/VR entrepreneur Paden Pierry, co-founder and CTO of Nashville-based Oshien, said the startup aims to hit Kickstarter in March with a $50K target, then follow that with a $750K Seed raise. Oshien's forthcoming Scions of Helios is a science fiction, augmented reality, collectible card game with some eye-popping effects. YouTube and @weareoshian. Pierry spoke with Venture Nashville during this weekend's game hackathon held as part of the 2017 Global Game Jam. The Nashville event was hosted at The Wond'ry innovation center at Vanderbilt University. The "Wave" theme was the only criterion imposed on game=making teams, and games involved shark attacks, sound-waves, active shooters attacking supposed U.S. Navy personnel, surfing amid sharks, among other variations.
