THE ORGANIZERS of Nashville-Israel Health Summit say they are on-track to convene their inaugural Nashville event Sept. 17, venue to be announced.
"We created the Summit to connect Israeli founders with healthcare leaders, investors, and partners from Nashville and across the country who can help put [Israeli founders'] technologies to work at scale," said Nashville-based David Zilberman.
He is a volunteer Summit co-organizer, as well as founder-CEO of GraphiteRx Inc., a healthcare commerce technology company with a record of investor backing from these and other firms.
The Summit has been scheduled for least-possible scheduling conflict with other September events in the healthtech-healthcare category. See VNC's latest rolling calendar here.
The Summit is presented by Friends of the Tennessee-Israel Caucus (FTIC), an independent, volunteer-led, nonpartisan organization.
Currently projected Summit attendees:
● Health systems and payers evaluating new solutions
● Investors seeking differentiated healthcare opportunities
● Operators and executives with experience scaling healthcare companies
● Strategic partners that can support U.S. commercialization
● Founders looking for customers, capital, guidance, and market access
The vetting of Israeli-led startups for membership in the Summit cohort is in-process.
Zilberman explained the cohort already includes startups with some degree of U.S. presence that have deployed or are piloting their offerings with such institutions as Yale New Haven Health, the Medical University of South Carolina, the U.S. War Department, Henry Ford Health, and Mayo Clinic, among others.

Most of the participating Summit startups are likely to be "clustered in the seed-to-Series-A stage," according to a detailed preliminary Summit overview provided VNC by Zilberman.
Projected corporate and institutional participation in the Summit includes HCA Healthcare, LifePoint Health, Ascension, Mayo Clinic, Vanderbilt University, Belmont University, and others.
The organizers emphasize that many of the startups that are admitted to the Summit cohort are "still developing their U.S. investor, customer and strategic partner networks."
Some other cohort applicants have secured working relationships with prominent institutions; and, some other cohort members' technologies have been developed or tested "in demanding clinical, emergency or military environments," say the organizers.
Startups' clinical and operational challenges fall in categories including:
● Clinical AI and diagnostic decision support
● Behavioral health and chronic pain
● Surgical safety and real-time patient monitoring
● Care navigation and follow-up
● Hospital workflow and administrative automation
● Employee health benefits navigation
● Healthcare training and workforce development
● Infrastructure for deploying and managing clinical AI tools
