Epicenter, the Memphis regional entrepreneurship center, announced the admission of five early-stage medtech startups to its ZeroTo510 accelerator.

ZeroTo510 Programs Director Olaf Schulz said in the release, “The medical device landscape is changing rapidly as new technologies emerge, and we’re really proud of the cohort we’ve put together this year that reflects many of those new breakthroughs. These founders represent the future of healthcare innovation, and we’re excited to support them with our customized programming, resources, mentorship, and ecosystem that have helped our alumni companies thrive over the past decade.”

The Accelerator cycle ends with Demo Day in Memphis, Dec. 11.

The 2025 cohort:

Cohort members were chosen from among applicants based in 15 states.

Fluens Medical (Houston) is described as have developed "a fully implantable, minimally invasive device to transform the treatment of ascites, a life-threatening complication of liver disease." Epicenter says that by "enabling continuous, controlled reinfusion of ascitic fluid, Fluens offers a safer alternative to repeated paracentesis and complex surgical interventions." The Fluens solution is designed to extend and improve the quality of patients' lives and to bridge patients successfully to liver transplants, if required.

NatureFound Biotech (Memphis) is said to be commercializing ChitoSeal, a resorbable dental membrane derived from natural polymers for guided tissue regeneration. Designed for use by oral surgeons and periodontists, ChitoSeal offers a biocompatible, effective and cost-efficient solution to accelerate bone and tissue healing following dental implant and reconstructive procedures.

Navigator Medical (Memphis) is said to have patented "a needle guide designed to aid in the formation of buttonholes used for vascular access during dialysis. The device is designed to help healthcare professionals "establish consistent access points, refine workflows for dialysis clinics, and improve patient outcomes by minimizing fistula trauma."

Throughout the ZeroTo510 cohort cycle, participants receive "intensive training in critical areas such as business planning, product development, navigating the FDA regulatory landscape, reimbursement and payment strategies, quality and manufacturing, supply chain management, pitching and fundraising..."
