SPORTS-NIL: Superba Fund LP has a $30MM VC fund target and new presence in Nashville, led by Graham Shuler. Though the registrant has not yet responded to our query, VNC research suggests Shuler is the same fellow who grew up in Nashville and played strong football at Stanford University, where he played center and earned a degree in science, technology and society. Shuler, who also played basketball and ran rack in high school, has for some time also been a member of All-Purpose Advocacy (APA), a business formed to provide advisory services to college athletes who seek guidance through the "Name-Image-Likeness (NIL) ecosystem." Among others listed on both the Superba filing and the APA website is Chandler Dorrell, who played ball at Stanford and then Vanderbilt University, where he earned his backelor's in economics. Dorrell's also tagged as promoter. Shuler made collegiate headlines in 2016 when he quit football to pursue a new path. 'Seems to have led back to Nashville.
