Considerations shaping our Journalism
Comment Print

The best journalism reflects relentless efforts to produce coverage that is faithful to long-standing criteria of fairness, accuracy, reliability and other virtues associated with the pursuit of truth. Corrections and clarifications are made as promptly as possible, as warranted. We may develop our own Code of Ethics, in time, but for now we rely on touchstones such as those presented here by the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ/SDX) and by NPR. Information published here and on other of our websites or blogs is intended for your information and entertainment, and its publication does not represent any sort of advice, recommendation, endorsement or other contribution to your own decision-making, which you are of course encouraged to undertake with utmost personal diligence and with assistance of experts in appropriate fields. We also affirm that all journalists contributing to this and any related news sites have been asked to disclose before undertaking any assignment for us any actual or perceived conflicts they might have in addressing particular stories or subjects. If any conflicts become apparent to the reporter and/or editor only later in the course of pursuing a story, then the project may be reassigned, at the editor's discretion. Any possible conflicts or errors that become apparent to us after publication of our story will be promptly and appropriately addressed. We welcome your comments on our coverage, at all times, and all comments and questions will get our earliest attention and appropriate direct response.
