VentureNVTN: Tennessee happily braces for Entrepreneurial avalanche
Comment Print

THANK YOU for your readership of Venture Nashville Connections, founded seven years ago this spring, and its sibling Venture Tennessee Connections.

An avalanche of business and celebration events lies just ahead.

For example, the new LaunchTN 36|86 and Pando Daily Pandoland mega-events will soon draw more than 1,000 entrepreneurs, investors, technologists and advisors -- many with their families -- to Tennessee's capital.

Brock and Lacy

Especially given that both these events are being led by nativeTennesseans -- Charlie Brock and Sarah Lacy -- these conferences are likely to strengthen our entrepreneurial relationships nationwide.

Before June, to reduce vacation-planning anxiety, please click here for the Big Events you'll want to consider statewide.

Then, to build your entrepreneurial Event Stamina, create a personalized Event Stamina training program, perhaps along these lines:

Monday, May 11, jog to the 3D Printing Demo at the Nashville Public Library's Bellevue Branch. Be sure to take a teenager, to explain it all to you.

Forgie

Tuesday, a couple of options: Race down to Nashville Technology Council's TechTalk event at the Entrepreneur Center, with MEDHOST VP Todd Forgie addressing Tech Platform-selection strategy. Or, against the odds, see if you can get registered for Nashville Health Care Council's CFO Breakfast, where Fed-watcher and frequent media source Beth Ann Bovino from Standard & Poor's Rating Services seems likely to stir-up the room, if not the entire Market.

Wednesday, if you still count on your fingers you'll want to sign-up fast for "Think with Your Hands," the Centresource-backed workshop that Nashville Technology Council is supporting, wherein we use LEGOs for fun learning by teams of Creatives and Techies. You'll return to work with insights for your teams.

Thursday, sprint to Cool Springs for the Tennessee HiMSS Chapter's CyberSecurity panel, with execs from LBMC, MEDHOST, KPMG, HealthStream and McAfee. That'll get your heart pumping. Surely, they won't check IDs.

Brennan

On Friday, you FinTech aficionados can go stealth, and make your way into the very sneakable Emma Bistro, there to hear Bancvue CMO Keith Brannan explore B2C, B2B, XYZ and other digital marketing tools in the financial sector, thanks to the Nashville Chapter of the American Marketing Association.

We hope you find these notes handy, and that we'll see you at many of these and other events. VNC / VTC
